Hello from southern Illinois! Our SIU ASDA chapter is located in Alton, IL- a historic town not far from St. Louis, MO and home to the world’s tallest man, Mr. Robert Wadlow. You can even find a life-size statue of him on our campus! Here at SIU, our chapter includes our entire student body and from day one we hope to instill in our members the value of involvement in organized dentistry, as well as a commitment to the ASDA mission. With the Illinois State Dental Society, we continue to lobby stateside and in Washington, D.C. for issues affecting our patients and profession. This past year we were lucky enough to attend National Lobby Day in person and also host our first Vendor Fair in three years! And this coming fall we are looking forward to hosting our very first loupes fair! With a new Executive Board and many enthusiastic committees, we are hoping for our best year yet in 2022-23!
